Eighteen months after being put up for sale, the prestigious Circuit Mont-Tremblant will soon be able to be developed to its full potential. A company owned by Montreal businessman Gad Bitton, president and CEO of Groupe Holand Automotive, has just acquired it.

A strategic choice

The Holand Automotive Group comprises dealerships of luxury and exotic brands in Montreal, Laval, Quebec City, Lévis, and West Palm Beach, Florida, as well as numerous real estate properties in Montreal and Quebec City. The acquisition of the world-class racetrack allows the automotive group to enhance its offering of exclusive experiences and events for drivers of Ferrari, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, Lamborghini, Maserati, the all-electric Rimac supercar, BMW, and MINI.

This transaction comes shortly after Ferrari Quebec and Maserati Montreal, two of the automotive group’s flagship dealerships, organized track days there that were very popular with their customers.

Protecting Quebec’s automotive heritage

Having frequented the Circuit Mont-Tremblant himself for over 20 years, Gad Bitton cherishes precious memories of this 4.26 km track where he drove his Ferrari 360 as a founding member of the Club Circuit Mont-Tremblant. “It was important to me that an automotive institution of such historical value remain in the hands of a Quebec company,” he says.

Benefits for the Laurentians

Vincent Loughran, director of the Mont-Tremblant Circuit, remains in his position and applauds the arrival of such a committed investor. The Holand Automotive Group already has ambitious plans to develop and enhance this location, ideal for competitions and concours d’élégance, in order to attract a highly desirable clientele to the region.

“We will develop a state-of-the-art circuit designed for an industry undergoing a revolution,” announced Gad Bitton. “Thanks to the electrification of prestige brands and the end of new gasoline-powered cars in Quebec by 2030, the results of this work will comply with local standards and regulations.”
